Indian Wedding Ceremony

I have begin to notice a pattern in my blogging. It seems that I would only blog when there is something running in the background such as uploading pictures to Facebook. That could take a while.

While I am at it, I might as well upload some of the same pictures to my blog. That should dust off some of the dirt that has been collecting from its idleness.

Indian wedding ceremony. A secondary school friend of mine is getting married! The age has come where I begin to see my single friends all finding thier better half, and here I am taking their wedding photos as though I’m an official photographer. swt.

Anyways, this is my first time to an authentic religious Indian wedding where you can see half naked priest burning incense and playing with a lot of oil.

If have basic photography skills and you are looking for a way to make residual income online, you may want to consider selling your photographs on microstock photography websites. These websites are an online marketplace for digital photography. I have been submitting my stock photos to microstock websites for the past two years. I now have over 300 approved photos on some websites and I typically earn between $200 and $300 per month in residual income.

If you are not familiar with microstock, let me tell you how to get started selling your photos online. First off, you’ll need to have an eye for getting a good shot and a camera that takes photos that are at least 4.0 million pixels. For example: a photo which is 2400×1800 adds up to a total of 4.32 million pixels - a photo of this size is valid - however, a photo which is 1000×1600 adds up to a total of 1.6 million pixels which is smaller than most website’s minimum size requirement. A digital SLR with multiple lenses is the best choice for those who are serious about making money selling photographs online.

Now the trick is finding out what type of photos you should take. The best way to do this is to browse through the top 100 images. You will find this link by going to the microstock website and then clicking on the link that says “Most Popular Images”. Take a look at the top images and you’ll notice that the quality of these photos is very high. You don’t need perfect photos to make money selling your photos online, but your photos do need to be good enough to pass a check by website’s reviewers. Typically I get about 60% of my images approved. Although it is frowned upon by many microstock photography websites - I do sometimes wait a month or two and resubmit rejected images. Many times these photos will get accepted on their second time around.

If you want to take photos at home indoors, you can set up your own mini-photography studio and create images at your convenience. Set up a small table and some lights and you can shoot food related shots, which are very good sellers. This is called table top photography and believe it or not there are photographers who make their living doing table top photography alone. From what I have seen however, the best sellers are photos of people and vectors. Getting high quality photos of people can be tough and when you do submit these photos, you’ll need to get your models to sign a model release. This release tells the microstock agency that these models are giving up the rights for their image to be purchased or sold royalty free.

People also sell illustrations in vector format on these websites and in many cases these illustrators make even more money that the photographers. There are some folks earning thousands of dollars per month in residual income through micro stock websites. One example of a photographer making a ton of profit is Yuri Arcurs. He is known as the top micro stock photographer in the world. Yuri makes over $10,000 per month in residual income from his photos.

If you decide to pursue micro stock photography, you will probably face a few hurdles getting started. But those people who are committed to creating high quality photos with great concepts can be rewarded very handsomely. Make a commitment to submit a certain number of photos each day and you will see the financial rewards in no time! Before you know it, you’ll have created a stream of residual income that has limitless growth potential. Happy shooting!

Making A Declaration

They took a stand. They said “no more!” No to oppression. “We will not be limited and we will not forfeit our right to happiness,” they said, “and no more giving up our power to choose the life we want.”

The authors of the Declaration of Independence  put themselves at risk and in harm’s way. And they faced separation from friends and loved ones they might lose favor with.

They wanted freedom that much.

How about you?

How much do you want your personal freedom - your ability to determine the life you want? How will you get it?

Your personal freedom - your ability to choose your happiness is not something you need purchase or even develop. As the writers of the declaration said in the most famous sentence in US history:

Have you ever wondered if you need to use photography filters with a digital camera? When digital cameras took over film cameras, the post production changed as well. The darkroom seems to have been replaced with a computer and graphics program, such as Adobe Photoshop. Although manipulation can be done after the image is taken, whether in the darkroom or computer, there is no real substitute for the original image being as close to the quality output desired in the first place.

The primary purpose of a photography filter is to enhance or change the picture. There are several different categories of filters as well as many different manufacturers. Another purpose for photography filters is to protect the camera lens. Filters are inexpensive when compared to the cost of replacing a camera lens. Often photographers use an all-purpose filter for this purpose, and exchange it for a more specialized filter when the subject calls for something a little different. Below is a list of some of the more common categories and filters available to today’s photography enthusiast.

Essential Filters:

The purpose of a clear filter is to protect the lens. It does not affect the exposure of the image. UV (Ultra Violet) filters help with removing some haze caused by ultra violet light. There are different types of polarizing filters. This filter is especially important because the software available today just does not come up to par with duplicating the results of using a polarizing filter at the time of exposure. When choosing a polarizing filter, decide if you need a linear or a circular polarizer. Basically, if you are using an auto-focus single-lens-reflex camera, you would need the circular polarizer. This is because of the beam splitting metering system that the digital camera uses.

Color Correction Filters:

While the polarizing filters mentioned in the previous paragraph are necessary even in the digital age, the color correction filters, however, are not as crucial to the success of the image outcome. This is because color correction filters manipulate the color, and the post production graphic manipulation programs (Such as Adobe Photoshop) can compensate pretty well for this. The basic need for these color correcting filters was to compensate for the difference in the temperature of the ambient light with the type of film being exposed. These filters are named with a number and a letter, such as 80A or 85B.

Special Effect Filters:

Special effect filters create fun and sometimes unusual effects. Examples of special effect filters are fog, sepia, and star filters. As their name suggests, they produce the named effect within the image. Perhaps the best special effect filter is actually not even referred to as a filter, but as a lens, and is called a “close-up lens.” They usually come in a set, and can be used in combination to achieve the desired close-up distance. They are much less expensive than purchasing a dedicated macro lens, and produce clear, brilliant images.

Black and White Filters:

Black and White filters rely on the principles of color separation to manipulate images for a desired effect. The choice of black and white filters is broken down by a color name along with a number. Theses filters work by absorbing their complementary color of light. For example, a yellow filter will absorb blue, and make the sky darker, which in turn can enhance the appearance of clouds in the sky against it. A yellow-green filter can minimize the effects of red that tungsten lighting can produce.

Photographers often use polarizing filters to improve the appearance of the images they capture. With digital cameras many filters are no longer necessary and do not always work correctly. There is one filter, however, that is the most often used filter, and it is considered a necessity to a landscape photographer. Whether using a digital or a film camera a polarizing filter will increase color and eliminate reflections in your images.

To unlock the secret of the polarizing filter, you must use the filter correctly.
To use your filter, find the correct size filter to fit the lens you are currently using. (a 55mm polarizer for a 55mm lens etc). Secondly, screw the filter onto the front end of the lens (nearest the subject). After the filter is snugly attached to the lens, rotate the filter. Look through the viewfinder as you rotate the filter and you will see the results immediately. Your landscape images will take on a whole new look; skies will become more deep blue, clouds more brilliant and grass greener. If you stand at a 90-degree angle to the sun you will get the maximum effect from your filter. Do not stand with the sun in front of you or behind you to take the shot.

A polarizing filter, used properly, on an overcast day will saturate the colors of the wet leaves giving life to the image. Of course, you must be very careful on a low light day as a filter can make your images too dark. A polarizer will cut the amount of light reaching your film or sensor. To counteract the decreased light reaching the sensor or film, open the aperture or slow your shutter speed to compensate.

Even though using a polarizing filter has many benefits, which far outweigh the pitfalls, there are several pitfalls of using a polarizing filter. Most of the pitfalls can be avoided with a bit of knowledge.

The first thing one needs to know about a polarizing filter is that there are 2 different types. One is the linear polarizing filter the other is the circular polarizing filter. A circular or a linear filter will do exactly the same thing for your images; enhance them. To compare them, the circular filter is more expensive and the linear filter may not be the best choice for most cameras that use auto focus.

A linear filter will often ruin the performance of auto focus; the camera is unable to transform the information correctly coming from the filter. A circular polarizing filter has an added layer which scrambles the filtered light coming from the polarizer and the camera is able to read the information more clearly.

The extra layer in the circular filter is the main reason the circular is more expensive. But as you can see it is often well worth the extra expense. Also, be sure when you purchase a filter that there is no color cast in the filter. Some filters come with an odd cast, green or yellowish color; make sure your filter has only a neutral grey cast.

Another problem encountered with polarizing filters is found when using wide-angle lenses (28mm or wider). A wide-angle lens may see the rim of your filter, causing a darkening at the edges of the image. Also, the sky can become unevenly polarized as polarization varies with the angle of the sun and a wide-angle lens covers a wider area of the sky.

Even with a few pitfalls, the results achieved with a circular polarizing filter are definitely well worth the price of the filter. Using a polarizing filter will take your images to a whole new level.

Dodge Ball Fun

Dodge ball is fun!

I was about to count “1, 2, dodgeball” when i so fasinated by my own shadow… i didn’t get pass “1″. lol. had my finger up high, took a snap shot and everyone wondered “what’s he waiting for?!”

Had to enhance the shadow quite a bit to make this shot more dramatic.

Nearby some creative people did some graffiti. Must say, nice! Just to others ‘vandalism’ cross their minds. I don’t blame them for thinking that way… that’s why nintendo wii came up with a spray can remote for it’s console. LOL

Last I heard, they change the graffiti every few weeks.

After dodge ball, we play basketball. I went overboard with the colors. At least the grass is greener and the cement looks more cement. LOL.

How do you play dodgeball? The object is to avoid the balls being thrown at you by your opponent.

How is this different form golf? In golf you hit a ball toward a very specific goal. That goal is usually a long way away. Sometime you can’t even see the goal like hole 17 at Cherokee springs but you know that if you hit the ball in the general direction, that you will eventually get there.

Lets talk about another popular ball – the beach ball. There is no object to a game of beach ball. It just gets tossed around aimlessly until the wind finally carries it so far out in the water that no one wants to go get it and it is lost forever.

Which kind of ball game do you want for your life?

James 1:5-8

5If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. 6But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; 8he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does.

When we ask God for help, we must have complete trust in God that we is willing and able to provide what we desire. If we don’t trust God, then we are just playing beach ball. It may be fun for a while but, soon, we will just get so far away form where we want to be that we simply become lost at sea.

Without faith in God, we are just playing dodgeball. Instead of driving toward a specific goal, we are just trying to avoid the things that come at us. We spend all out time trying to avoid trouble and difficulties rather than focusing on what we truly desire.

Life by the spirit:

Galatians 5:16-18

16So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature. 17For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want. 18But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under law.

Are you playing spiritual dodgeball? Do you think you are doing good just because you are continually dodging the temptations that are being thrown at you? Paul makes a whole list of sins that we are to avoid.

But I prefer that we focus our energy on things that we want in stead of what we don’t want. Because whenever we are against something we are focusing more energy into the very thing we are against.

Most anti drug campaigns have been shown to actually increase teenage drug use. Philip Morris’s famous anti smoking campaign was actually proven to increase teen smoking rates.

The programs that have worked are those that give the teens something else positive to focus on. Once they have a goal like sports or art, then they don’t have time for the distraction of smoking or drugs.

So instead of spending your energy dodging the things you don’t want, focus on the things you do want from God. Lets look at what Paul says is the characteristic of living by the spirit:

Galatians 5:22-23

22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

Notice how the practice of these traits will naturally and effortlessly remove the unwanted traits.

Imagine with me for a moment facing the world in a spirit of love and joy and peace. There would be no wars or crime or other problems that we continually try to dodge in our lives.

So what are some of the things that you are dodging in your life?

Anger, Anxiety, Addiction, bitterness, covertness, deceit, depression, vanity, lust, wrath, envy, sloth, gluttony, greed, envy, fear, worry?

Now we can continue playing dodgeball with out lives and seek to avoid these things each day, but sooner rather than later they we smack us up side the head when we least expect it.

Lets look at how living life in the spirit of god will change our focus:

We can replace dodging Anger with seeking peace and joy.
We can replace dodging Anxiety with trusting God to take care of us.
We can replace dodging Addiction with having a purpose in life that overwhelms that addiction.

Lets read again the characteristic of a spirit filled life:

Watch your Language

1 Timothy 6:11-12

11But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness. 12Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.

Express your faith in your words daily. When you drive to work in the morning, don’t worry about being late or the dangers in the traffic. Instead say to yourself and to others that you expect God to keep you safe and for you to arrive at exactly the correct time.
Instead of focusing on what your can’t do to help those around you, focus on what you can do.

Pay attention to what you talk about during the day. Do you continue to focus on what is wrong in the world. Are you constantly on the lookout to dodge what ever new temptation that Satan is throwing at you?

Or do you constantly look for ways to express the Spirit of God. Do you look for ways to express love and joy and peace?

How about looking for ways to express patience and Kindness?

What are some ways that we can express goodness and gentleness?

So as you play the game of life, you get to choose how you are going to play it.

You can play like most people and play life like a game of beach ball. Just allow yourself to be tossed about aimlessly until your are completely lost.

Or you can choose to live life like many Christians and take great pride in you ability to dodge all the temptations that are thrown at you while you never really accomplish anything worthwhile.

Or you can choose to play life like a game of golf with a very specific goal. You may not always be able to see your goal, but you know it is there and with each stroke, you are getting closer to it.

You can choose to practice the characteristics of a Spirit filled life and live life by expressing love and joy and peace and faithfulness in every opportunity.

Many people get stuck in a rut and find themselves eating in the same restaurant over and over again. Others have a few restaurants that they go to for their various cravings, but seldom look beyond these few choices. Los Angeles is one of the few places in the country where you can literally find every type of food that you could imagine. It is time to consider some other fine dining choices and broaden your horizons a little bit.

A quick look at the restaurants in the Los Angeles area will give you an idea of how many different types of restaurants that are available to you right in your own backyard. There are enough restaurants in the Los Angeles area that you could literally visit a new place every week for a very long time. Recommendations from friends are another good way to find other fine dining restaurants that you have not tried before. Everyone has their favorite places to dine and you can learn a lot about the restaurants around you by asking others which they enjoy.

Online reviews are another place to find restaurants that you are unfamiliar with in your local area. Keep in mind that there will be both negative reviews and positive ones on most restaurant review sites. The key to finding a restaurant using these sites is to look for the ones that have more good than bad. You might also consider the points that are made in a negative review to determine what your experience might be in the restaurant. Every place can have an off night or the reviewer might be difficult to please. Just use common sense when reading these types of reviews. This is a great way to find some other fine dining restaurants in your local Los Angeles area to try out and enjoy.

I Freezed After Repair

Sent my brother’s kancil to repair the air-con.

What a great time to relax actually.

While waiting for the repair to complete, managed to watch 4 episodes of Merlin.

Boy was the movie interesting! I’ve 3 more episodes to go so I wouldn’t had mind them taking another 2 hours more. LOL.

What would you had done if you had to wait 4 hours for your car to be repaired?

No no, besides finding another mechanic. They are the best actually. Dianogsis and all was done within 10 minutes and the car was under repair instantly.

Whatever… Had subscribed to this domain for 4 years already… guess it won’t be going anywhere for sometime.

The past few posts including this one has given me some opportunity to practice what I’ve learnt in photo editing.

Hopefully someday to sell plenty of pictures on microstock websites.

And this ain’t tamagochi k…. it’s tomagogame…. a meaningless name and uniquely odd… in fact it’s a misspelling of a the supposedly ‘tamago game’.

And someone commented the name makes me sound like a young boy.

I love you. Every time I hear that word all that comes to my eyes is tears and some emotions I cannot even begin to explain. They are three words that a lot of people would give anything to hear it coming from someone they love. That is why you need to know how to say you love someone in a special way. So specials that when a person looks back and thinks of you they can not help it but form some tears in their eyes. Say I love you with flowers. When you send someone flowers it means they are not only special but that you love them and that you were thinking of them. This is a great way of telling someone that you love them and you care for them. Get out of the house and buy the person you love some flowers. Buy a flower for a man, the men also love flowers

Say I love you with a gift. There is nothing that says I love you more than a gift. Make sure you choose something that is well thought of. When talking to your mate you will realize that they are things that they would really like to have and they can not afford it or they can not simply get it. Surprise your mate by giving them something that they have been looking forward to having and they had no idea that you were thinking of giving it to them. They will feel so special and loved. You would have said you love the person even without saying the words. A simple gift should also be nice and the person you will be giving it too will appreciate it.

Send a card to the person you love to tell them you love them. A card says that you love person and just like a gift that you are thinking of them and thus the purchase of a card. You can even make the card to be personal in that you make your own cards, and give it a personal touch. This way the person will also know that you took time to make the card and that while making it you wanted it to be special and interesting all at the same it. It is something unique, something that he or she has never seen it somewhere else. Say I love you this weekend with a card.

One has to wonder how life would be so nice when we are no longer controlled by gravity.

Imagine angels, as swift as light (and light travels 7 times around the earth in 1 second). How kewl is that.

There won’t be need for cars, or planes or transport for that matter.

Or to be simply invisible like that invisible cloaked table.

However I’ve learnt through life that “before removing a fence, find out why it is there in the first place” and God definitely has the answer to that… even to the strength of the gravitational pull on all earthly things.

The word “gravity” is a word coined by Sir Isaac Newton to describe an unseen force that attracts objects with mass to each other. As human beings living on planet earth we experience this force as one which constantly impedes us from floating away into the cosmos.

We have however heard of, and some of us may have even witnessed feats of levitation that appear to defy the “laws of gravity”. How does one explain such violations of such a basic and fundamental “law” of the universe?

Well, as Einstein himself suggested, such anomalies often are the door to a more complete understanding of the reality we call our universe. In what follows I report on a case study with a new process which may begin to shed some light on this apparently “unusual” phenomenon of levitation and hopefully ignite research into new areas of science that will help more fully elucidate our view of our reality.

This new process assists individuals to release negative beliefs, memories, emotions, perceptions and behaviors from their bio-field. In this process a recurring experience of individuals is a feeling of lightness and buoyancy. Now although this is considered to be solely a feeling experience by most it has been my experience that in some cases this has been associated with a) rapid and seemingly unexplained weight loss and b) spontaneous experiences of levitation of body parts i.e. arms and hands.

I must qualify by saying that in none of this is there any hypnotic suggestion given or implied and the clients are always fully conscious. As some may know supposed feats of levitation are apparently the result of hypnotic suggestion. These however appear to be related more to mind control of peripheral muscle systems and can therefore be easily accounted for.

With this process individuals also experience a sense of “emotional lightness”. What this means is that the “grave” feelings that are associated with the negativity they previously carried in their bio-fields and hence in their bodies gave them a feeling of being “weighted down”! When this negativity is released they spontaneously feel “lighter” both emotionally and physically!

Additionally they almost regularly report a sense inner radiance, which is apparent to others as well, and a feeling of increased energy or vibration in their bodies.

In summary what appears to be happening according to these accounts is a conversion of matter into energy. Now I know that this will be met with skepticism and I accept that. I do however wish to ask that you notice how you feel inside as a result of my having said what I have said so far and notice whether at a feeling level you resonate with what has been said?

So in summary what appears to be happening through the process is the following:

1. Negativity is released from the bio-field and the body.

2. This negativity accounts for feelings of “emotional gravity” which essentially feels similar to the sensation of “physical gravity” i.e. the former is associated with feelings of being weighted down, feeling de-energized or drained, feeling immobilized and feeling heavy.

3. As the negativity is released and feelings of emotional gravity disappear.

4. Individuals also report feeling “lighter” both emotionally and physically.

5. Occasional reports of levitation and significant weight loss (i.e. up to 45 lbs in one week in one case in a client who was on no special diet, exercise program or weight loss prescription)

My hypotheses are as follows:

1. Emotional gravity and physical gravity are one and the same thing.

2. Physical gravity is the result of the sum total effect of all negativity stored in the collective human bio-field on this planet.

3. As an individual experiences the process what actually happens is that their physical density decreases and their energy density increases. This would account for the observations noted above.

4. It is my feeling that there is no limit to the amount of negativity that an individual can release from their bio-field. In other words, I feel that “all” matter in the physical body can be converted into energy and hence the state of our bodies can be “re-converted” into what I feel is their natural state; an energy body.

On closing I ask you to notice how you feel inside at this moment. I think that if you are in tune with your heart you will almost certainly feel a deep resonance with what has been said.
