Programming Till The Cows Come Home
authored on Thursday, July 10th 2008Oh wow, it has been a while since I blogged. I was just rumbling through my todo list and see what I can scratch off…
“Modify and globalize addlink”
How interesting. You see, addlink is a program where you can add a link from your site to mine by adding mine to yours. That way your friends are mine as well mine yours.
The problem came about when I’ve to install this script onto each and every domain seperately. Plus, having to create database, user name and password, and numerous other things to get it all up and running.
2 years ago I had this script installed onto 5 of my sites. Things got hot! There’re people who actually found my page and started linking to me!
That totally excites me until I found gambling links, casino links, sex links… even rolex replicas!
So guess what? I’ve to login to each of the 5 sites, manually search and delete the links. Plus these buggers post multiple times! Esspecially the rolex idiot. 6 times!
Ahhhhhh, but it’s all different now. I came back with knowledge on PHP and MySql. What’s better, I learnt how to use classes!
It took me two days to modify the script (amidst yam cha and dota), and now it’s Super Addlink where you can post a link in any of my domain and I’ll know exactly what you post, when you post it, where you post it, if you are still linking back… all from just one interface!
Just one click on my cron job and fuhyoh! I’ll breeze through all the links making sure YOU are linking back or else….
Oh yea, and if someone puts a rel=’nofollow’ tag on my link. Good bye to them too.
Considering the power of it, two days is a small price to pay!
Next step is to make sure that the domain they want me to link to, must be indexed by Google.
If I can modify this product completely, I can call this my very own and $ell!
Wonder if there’s anyone interested in it. Hehe.
Korea Trip Day 3 | Ah…. The Smell of Fresh Flowers!
authored on Thursday, June 14th 2007Anyohaseyo! Hah, if I spelt that correctly. We had a good breakfast and now, just outside the hotel, flowers are blooming! Well… if you don’t mind the weather, which was extremely cold… oh well.
Tulip season has just ended so if you can see tulips right now, it’s kinda rare because they are either dying or dead.
Ah, a pot. What the crap. I dare not get closer because the hotel door is just behind me. It’s that cold man. Though I’m a man, but I’m not stupid enough to stand outside there and catch a cold. Not on the 3rd day of Korea. Beautiful things come with a price don’t they?
Beautiful flowers for beautiful girls. Since beautiful flowers comes with a certain price, beautiful girls comes with a certain worth… and price.
Men? yea, nothing is free in this world. The more ‘valuable’ a man is perceived to be, the higher the bid. Hah, That’s the basis of economics! Everyone wants everything in the world or at least what their eyes and minds can fancy. But due to limited capability, and it’s usually finance, one has to consider what one has and what one doesn’t. Economics.
Okay, how did I get here? Learning economics is beginning to be very intersting these days. I wonder why. I wonder why…
How Much Can You Ask of Life?

If life is treating you well, you would agree that you have paid the price and you fully deserve what you have.
There is no such thing as something for nothing. To get something you must return some services or favors in exchange for the money that you want.
Procrastination, hesitate, slow moving, are the main causes of why people never reached the dreams they long for.
So, how much have you ask of life? Are you willing to pay the price?
I did. I took the time to build web pages, build blogs, write articles, learn programming… all these that I learned, by offering them to people, life will give back to me in abundance!

Moneymaking Opportunity
authored on Wednesday, April 4th 2007I went to titiwangsa today. Malaysia has set up a ferries wheel and called it Eye On Malaysia.
They will be having this event date tonight every day to the end of year 2007.So what does this entertainment had to do with money making opportunity?
Here is the math I had done while standing there staring at these gigantic monument for a good 15 minutes.
There are 42 gondolas on the ferries wheel in which one of them is meant for the VIP.
There is a maximum of eight people in one gondola.
An adult will cost $15 each. Seniors, children, and the disabled will cost $8 each.
After you get on board, the ferries wheel will spin four rounds, taking two minutes each round.
Let’s do the math:
42 gondolas * 8 persons * $15 equals
$5,040 for an eight minute ride
each adult will pay two dollars for a minute ride
How cool is that?!

Chronos, Kairos, Pleroma!
authored on Sunday, March 4th 2007It’s a sunday today and Pastor was talking about these 3 things and how I imagined internet ventures to be like.
Chronos: Which just means time. Spare time, leisure time, and even the time used to setting up blogs and websites to writing articles and buying domainnames. Nothing really ‘exciting’ happens here.
Kairos: The appointed time, a strategic time. This is when you start seeing traffic, and customers are signing up to your news letters. A lot of promise and potential is being more and more visible!
Pleroma: BREAKTHROUGH! You’ve made your first sale, your first click, your first cheque, your first PR on your page. Woohoo! You leap for joy for the efforts you put in months ago for now the website will just keep pouring in more and more profits for the years and years to come!
Hope you learnt some greek today. It’s a sunday and I’m going to take the chronos and sleep until kairos for a better pleroma tomorrow.
