How To Setup A Website

authored on Wednesday, February 28th 2007

Now, to make money, you have to spend money. That’s the way business is!

ROI = return of investment a.k.a. how much you get from how much you put in first.

e.g. if you put in $1 and get back $2, what’s your ROI? it’s 100%! Don’t let me get started with math formulas.

Okay, all these talk about money is because I want you to host your own .com and ‘get your hands dirty’.

I estimate that by the time you finish this simple tutorial, you will have spent USD10++ and have started to earn your first USD1!

Here’s the terminology in hosting…
A domain name (e.g. tomagogame.com) is like your house address ($9@year).
A hosting company (click here for free hosting) is like your actual house($10@month).
So when people type tomagogame.com in Internet Explorer, it will know where my house is.
And in my house is where I keep all my treasures & junks (files & folders).
That’s it!

So let’s first buy your house. Personally I use Hostgator because they are special. Imagine I have 50 domainnames, all I need is just 1 hosting with hostgator. How cool is that?! 50 home addresses and 1 house. That saves A LOT of money.

For you, it’s even more special, I can help you get your first month FREE! It will costs you only USD0.01. Yup, that’s 1 cent for the first month! Begin to read the instructions on how to get free hosting now!

You will be required to use a PayPal account or your credit card. Do not be afraid as if there is any type of false charge, you are totally protected by your credit card company. And $0.01 for the first month? Watta bargain!

I’ll follow up with you on getting your domain name in the next post.

Till then,
David.

Now before you sign up for Google Adsense, it’s according to Google (at the time of writing) that you first own a website, with good content, and at least a few pages on it before you are accepted into their program.

To help you out, I’ve 600 articles prepared just for you! They are Private Label Rights(PLR) articles, in other words, you may use them as though you wrote them. Just scroll down to the bottom of this page and place your full name and primary email address to get your hands on the articles.

Contained within are many topics. Pick one out and modify each article into your own ‘language’ to make them unique and I’ll figure out a way to help you build a simple website.

Hello world!

authored on Saturday, February 24th 2007

Hello World!

Argh, the memories of how that came about. Back when I was in my programming college in Asia Pacific Institute of Information Technology (APIIT) back in year 2000, every language that I first learn from COBOL to C++, all have this thing in common, to write a program that displays “hello world” on the screen. Wordpress is no exception.

Hi, I’m Tomagogame and I welcome you to this blog. This blog came about because I’ve many people (as many as my fingers and toes only) coming to ask me ‘how do you make money on the internet?’ type of question. I ain’t the best person there is to teach but since you guys are here because you somehow came into my circle of influence (in other words, friends), I hope to make this blog an educational one which will teach you the milk of the internet because you get the meat.

Questions like, ‘how to make money’ is step #100 while ‘how to build a website’ is step #50. So what’s step #1? Well, let’s wait for the next blog post.

In the meantime, why don’t you post a comment below and ask me questions you would like me to answer to? That way I can build a post with each question asked and thus build a site so valuable and simple to understand every granny and mummy can learn internet marketing.

Regards,
Tomagogame.

P.S. The word ‘Tomagogame’ means EggGame. It was first inspired by a japanese movie which a couple was tossing eggs to each other while they distance themselves with every throw. since egggame.com has been taken… like the old cliche, the rest is history. Bleh.
